What wasn't wrong? Binghe was out of the Abyss two years too early, and the plant bodies weren't ready, and Binghe had never been an omega in PIDW—which meant that whatever revenge scheme he had cooked up was so far outside of the original plot that there was no way for Shen Qingqiu to plan for it.
And then there was the fact that, despite everything, Shen Qingqiu couldn't stop noticing how good Binghe smelled.
In which Binghe is an omega (eventually), and Shen Qingqiu is an alpha (eventually), and they both manage to work things out. Eventually.

When dressed up in his usual disciple robes, puttering around the bamboo house, Luo Binghe barely looks any different than his usual self.
