The Magical Side of the Moon (MSM) is a crossover between Paul (2011, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost) and The Wizarding World (J.K. Rowling), chiefly featuring a Dramione romance, as well as a new queer ship, all inspired by the fanfic community:
-Paul was just trying to save his species from an impending cross-galactic war. He didn’t mean to get caught by the Ministry of Magic, while tailing a Viocrom minor into an unknown magical dimension.
Draco and Hermione were just doing their respective jobs in a momentary collaboration between the Department of Magical Creatures and the Department of Mysteries. They couldn’t have known they were at risk of getting abducted by a corrupted rank from an alien race that was camping out on the ‘dark’ side of the moon.
But that happened.
Some other stuff, too.
There's a cat.
And a mysterious ugly Christmas sweater.
Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of tunnels.

Summary
Mike has finally made it as an author. But writing about your own past can get complicated, especially when fans start to draw conclusions that point Mike in the direction of the person he's been writing about all along.
And living life is hard. Especially when you're doing it all on your own. But grief and love are a lot more similar than you might realise. They both tend to wake us up from the monotony of our lives.

“Take them yourself if you want them so much.”
It was a challenge. Will could see it in his eyes, a challenge Mike didn’t expect Will to succeed at. But Will had had enough of being the one who was always flustered. So, he approached Mike, who at first stepped back, surprised, and tugged at his lower lip, ordering him to open up. It was Mike’s turn to be frozen in place.
Will then touched Mike’s teeth, resisting the urge to pass his fingers over his canines and touch his tongue. He felt Mike’s startled breath on his knuckles. Will gulped, and he took out the fangs. A string of spit hung between them and Mike’s mouth, so Will put them quickly in his mouth, relishing in Mike’s still hot saliva. If it was the only thing he could get from him, he would take it.
OR
Summer 1990. Will spends his summer break in Hawkins and is filling his time by acting as a vampire in Jonathan’s short horror film for college. But when Jonathan announces that Mike will join them, Will isn’t sure he can resist taking a bite out of him.

Summary
In a world full of mind-possessing creatures and alternate dimensions, the fact that it’s nature that finally gets them is, if nothing else, ironic. Mike and Will are the one constant in a world where nothing ever stays the same. Maybe that’s why the universe never did manage to pull them apart.
Until, of course, the earthquake did.
Alternatively, Mike and Will are trapped at the Palace Arcade after an earthquake strikes Hawkins. They indulge in their last chance to make things right.

““Will-” Mike whispered, years of sadness and loss and a million other things Will couldn’t understand splaying across his face. Will gently pulled away his hand, something tearing deep inside him as he did. It was the hardest thing to do, to leave that warmth behind.
“I’m a little tired now,” he said, voice thick with unshed tears, not daring to look at Mike, knowing that if he did, nothing would stop him from doing something they would both regret. He walked back across the room and sat on the edge of the bed. For a moment Mike just stood where they’d been, still and unmoving. Will had to use every shred of energy he had left not to get up and go to him. Mike’s shoulders dipped in resignation as he slowly turned around. The darkness masked his expression, but the silence was enough.
For them, Will supposed, silence had always been enough. It would always have to be.”Or: After Nevada, things are not the same. Mike is confusing, though this is not exactly new. Still, there is an earnestness; an honesty that wasn’t there before. Electric glances, small confessions: nothing feels as simple as it used to. Timing, it seems, has never been on Will's side. Or... has it?
