Summary
A few years before getting the job to find Grogu, Din Djarin found another child, the slave of one of his bounties. This child, a Miraluka named Atuek, became his first foundling, and later apprentice, and stood by his side as he hunted, then rescued, Grogu.
Atuek, despite being blind, has never had trouble getting around or learning to fight. Separated from his people so young, he doesn't know how to explain how he "sees" or navigates the world, but among the Mandalorians, no one cares. He is one of them, and he is proud to stand with his adopted people, and especially his adopted father. When a small, Force-Sensitive baby enters his life, though, he may find answers to questions he didn't even know to ask.
