Summary
“I do not want to talk about it,” Viktor mumbles before Jayce even opens his lips.
“You haven’t yelled at me once today, I know there’s something on your mind.”
“There is.” Viktor doesn’t pause in his work or glance up at Jayce towering over him. He doesn’t elaborate as Jayce waits patiently, silently, for more of a response.
“That’s it then?” Jayce asks once the silence becomes unbearable. “You won’t tell me anything about how you’re feeling?”
“I said I don’t want to talk about it. Not every problem can be solved with a conversation and smile, as you seem to think they can.”
Jayce closes his eyes for a brief moment, attempting to keep any hurt from the comment off his face. Viktor knows exactly how the comment makes Jayce feel, still without looking at him.
“I’m just worried about you, V.”
“You always are.”
“You’re my partner,” Jayce insists and Viktor's hands still momentarily. “I will always worry about you, whether or not you let me in.”Or Viktor has a dead sister and he thinks about her every year on her birthday. This year, he learns to be vulnerable and lets Jayce see more of himself.
This is just a fun little story to practice writing these two.

"You had the audacity to call me a nitpicker, Jayce Talis. I demand an explanation."
or a little something that could have happened in S1 if Jayce took his head out of his butt and actually confessed.

Summary
It was soothing to see Viktor untouched by pain or struggles of the day, for once without a crease between his brows or a cringed expression on his face. He looked somehow younger, curled to the couch’s backrest and clinging to the blanket that hugged his body tightly.
Suddenly, Jayce’s face felt warmer.
It seemed intimate, watching Viktor in such a vulnerable state. Somehow though, Jayce couldn’t quite bring himself to move his gaze away. He’d love to see his partner relaxed like this more often. But, he supposed, after what the Council had decided to do with their work, Viktor’s brows would be furrowed in stress even more often than they had been before…
He shook his head. There would be time for worrying later. Now, he needed breakfast.
*
An accident makes Jayce aware of Viktor's living situation. Fortunately, his own apartment is more than enough to accomodate two people.

Summary
“Hey, Vik? You’re looking kind of intense over there,” Jayce chuckled from his end of the table. “Everything okay?”
Viktor went to retract his hand from his hair and–
Oh. One finger was stuck.
Or: Viktor overworks himself, twists a knot into his hair, and has a slight nervous breakdown. Surprisingly, it leads to good things.

Summary
Viktor always knew he was different.
He was born upside down in the dead of winter, his defective leg the first part of him to breach the womb. His face had turned blue by the time the physicker pulled him out, and it was only by luck that they managed to breathe life back into him.
His mother called his survival a miracle; later, Viktor would wonder if the word she was searching for was “curse.”
