Summary
Em wasn’t there when pops died but OJ had been and he hadn’t been willing to divulge a ton of information regarding the matter beyond cause of death. But she had seen the blood in the truck when OJ was scrubbing at it and she had seen the coin that killed him pinned up on OJ’s wall. It was bad. Maybe not giant-man-eating-alien levels of bad but that didn’t mean it wasn’t brutal. And now knowing that the giant-man-eating-alien did in fact have something to do with it.. It left a bad taste in her mouth.
And maybe she hadn’t been around a ton in the past few months, shit, the past few years, but she liked to think knew OJ pretty well. He was her brother and this wasn't about stuff that had happened in the past week, it was about the last six months. Something had happened and something had changed.
OR
I find a way to acknowledge the fact that OJ dragged his dying father into the car and sped toward the hospital as his father bled out in the passenger seat mumbling the names of their horses. It is one of the few times OJ is visibly distraught throughout the movie.
