His father was staring down at him, just an inky figure in the dark. He wasn’t speaking, and it terrified Michael. He couldn’t see him, couldn’t hear him. Just saw the barely-there silhouette of a man as the wind picked up.

Summary
Michael Afton is a mostly normal child. He gets into trouble at school, bullies his brother and protects his little sister. Sure, sometimes his dad hits him or is a bit inappropriate, but otherwise he feels like a relatively normal kid. That is, until his father comes home late one night and he stays up late to see what he'd gotten into. Michaels world immediately crumbles as he makes a horrifying realization regarding his family, and the lengths his fathers willing to go.

It all started when he developed a bad habit, one that had caught up to him and caused the cycle of abuse to start.
Garmadon had insisted that it was purely out of goodwill, that he was just teaching him a lesson as parents would but, when it started to get more physical than the usual stern reprimanding; the fear started to kick in and eventually, he was walking on eggshells around his temperamental father and hiding the abuse from his friends and by extension, his other 'family.'
How long will he be able to hide his father's dirty little secret until the truth comes out?
