    Long ago, clan Lavellan promised to protect the vampires of Thedas. Once the blood bound Lavellans were tied to a vampire both would flourish. After some of the vampires of the Pantheon went mad, Lavellan went into hiding. Vampires and the blood bound became myths.

    Generations later, Beatrice Lavellan (Ahdahlen) moves to the city to take a job at the National Archives. By chance, she runs into a peculiar man whose eyes turn black when his skin touches hers.

    Perhaps vampires are more than just the stories her grandmother used to tell her.
