Summary
Gale Dekarios was a man in love.
It was all consuming, threatening to devour not only him but the rest of the universe with him. Most days he tried to push those feelings down, to focus on the task at hand, because he recognized the fate of the world sat on their shoulders. And usually that was enough to keep him going, to not let himself be consumed. Tonight however, he was struggling. He held one of his numerous magic books in his lap, reading the words again and again but not processing a single one of them. How could he? How could he pay proper attention to anything or anyone other than his beloved? Especially when he was so godsdamned alluring.

It wasn’t his fault though, not really. How could he resist when Roman was lying there, open and inviting as he leaned back on his elbows, his legs spread all akimbo while he carried on the conversation. As if he didn’t know what he was doing when he turned his face from the fireplace to look at Astarion, the light from it dancing across his features and beckoning him in like a moth to a flame. What was he to do other than lean in and press his lips to his? Roman hummed into the kiss, smiling before playfully nipping at his bottom lip.
“You know,” he murmured, nudging his nose against his, “if you want to find your own desires now… we could always try some things out together.”
Astarion quirked a brow at him, smirking as he nudged him back. “Is that so? What if its something absolutely depraved?”
“Depravity is basically what I’ve come to expect from you.”

Summary
It was taking longer than he had anticipated: adjusting to Cazador's death. Astarion felt he truly could not overstate just how long 200 years really is, and that someone as young as Roman, with as short a lifespan as his love had, could never fully grasp it. Most nights it was easy; the exhaustion from the day typically allowed him to slip into unconsciousness before he could even fully wrap himself in his blankets. Tonight was not easy. No matter what he did, no matter how many times he assured himself that his old master was dead or checked over his shoulder to ensure no one was watching him, he could not even close his eyes let alone sleep.

Summary
This wasn’t exactly “laying low,” but in Vash’s defense… he was bored.
“You do this a lot?” Vash asked, examining his face now that he could fully see him, no matter how shitty the fluorescents overhead were. His face looked older up close, there were bags under his eyes and a hint of a wrinkle forming between his brows that must have formed after years of furrowing his brows. His nose was strong and crooked, and there was a cut there that hadn’t fully healed yet. There was stubble along his chiseled jaw that Vash couldn’t resist but run his fingers along.
“Nah, I’m usually the one that needs patched up,” he said matter-of-factly, cleaning the wound itself now with one hand on the back of his head to hold him still. “Unless you’re talking about bringing people home, then yeah. Hold still now,” he murmured the last part, taking extra care as he applied the small butterfly bandages to his temple. “There. Good as new.” Wolfwood surveyed his handiwork with a smile, and set his hands on Vash’s thighs.

Vash has a nasty run-in with a stranger from the bar. Wolfwood saves the day and takes him home.
