Summary
“They say the Ghost has no heart,” the soldier says, casual like he’s just come back from an evening stroll instead of a torture session. Without breaking eye contact, he taps the tip of his knife, still wet with Johnny’s blood, against the one-way glass, leaving behind a smear of crimson. “But I do not think that is true. I think I have found the Ghost’s heart, and I have strung it up like meat from butcher. Right. There.”
The man smiles, close-lipped and unassuming, and that disturbs Ghost more than any grin with too many sharp teeth ever will.
“It is pretty heart. Very pretty. But like butcher, I will carve it up in front of you if you do not tell me what I want to know."

Summary
“Dumb dog”
The bars of the thin, wired muzzle dug into his skin. With careful, cautionary steps, he trailed after his handler, hunched over like a scared animal. A thick chain was wrapped around his neck, constricting his airflow. The constant reminder of his ownership. His only possession was the sniper hood that served as his sole sanctuary, hiding his broken features from peering, degrading eyes.

In a world where a small percentage of the population has the ability to shift into a wolf counterpart, discrimination has embedded itself in every crevice of society. Shifters are shunned and treated like rabid animals. Their worth is deemed equivalent to that of a mutt.
For years, militaries have utilized the few Shifters left as animalistic weapons, pets. Simply for their own benefit. Despite the occasional aggression and violent tendencies, Shifters make for powerful chess pieces, with their enhanced abilities, and acute instincts.
The “141”, a task force created specifically for these feral wolves, has the habit of picking up broken werewolves. Their newest rescue might be the most dangerous, and dehumanized one yet.
