Summary
West Coast, modern take on Emily and Sue.
Emily is a Pulitzer Prize winning poet that is under pressure to deliver (and top) her first book. She has decided to move to the secluded island of Orca's Island in Washington State from New York City, in order to write her poetry in peace and solitude. She prefers is that way, and she hopes the PNW will give her some much needed inspiration.
Sue is living in San Francisco, working as a financial consultant. She is recently divorced from her husband of 3 years, Sam Bowles. She has never really forgotten about Emily, but life has always gotten in the way.
Both of the women are in their late 20s, and they are living separate lives. Their romance during college a far away memory that feels like it's from a completely different time. But - fate has other plans. Emily and Sue's worlds come crashing together in unexpected ways, while Emily is on a business trip to San Francisco to meet her publisher.
Both have had serious relationships and tried to move on from the memory of each other, but things always have a way of surfacing.....
