Summary
Nakahara Chuuya is beautiful.
He owns a flower shop. He has a deep, sweet voice, a worn-out leather jacket and azure eyes that glisten under the spring sun.
“Oi, hang on. Are are you hitting on me?”
“I could be,” Dazai says, putting the pen down. “Am I allowed to hit on you?”
[Or: Dazai meets a handsome stranger in a park and decides to write his story.]

ugly crying at this because whatthefuck.
He topped out his creativity, he supposes, because he has been trying to write for a long time, yet the words escape him and the page remains white. He lacks stimuli, he tells himself. There's nothing to write about in a place where everybody is sick, especially when he’s too tired to even think.
It’s hard to write when you do nothing, and even more so when you experience nothing.
A blank page marks the beginning of a journey, some say.
Far fewer, braver people talk about the times the blank page becomes a prison. -

Summary
You can only watch as the whole thing unfolds itself like a scene in a play. The old man is on his knees in a bitter facsimile of a proposal, struggling to get himself upright, but he only has eyes for the cook, standing stiff and emotionless against the window, face turned away towards the sun and black figure stark and unyielding in the kitchen. The morning sunlight streaming in through the kitchen window suddenly feels too vivid, dreamless and unreal, rendering the old man and the cook’s figures as distant and far away as memory; you feel, instinctively, that somehow this scene in the kitchen will be something that you will remember even years down the road, the smallest things the biggest in their significance, the bright edge of something being struck ringing in your ears.
Still not looking away from the window, the cook says, ‘I’m calling Chopper.’
On the Sabaody Archipelago, you meet an old man and a cook. The old man is a swordsman, and is aged close to seventy; the cook, however, is young, and doesn't look aged at all.

Summary
Or: Chuuya gets severely injured during a battle, and Dazai orders him not to fall asleep.
-
“You can’t—“ With that single note of a well-known song, Chuuya pushed him off a cliff - and Dazai was still falling when the second note vibrated between them. “You can’t do a double suicide—"
‘It’s going to be alright, ‘Samu,’ Chuuya had said. ‘You are going to be fine.’
And, now, the stupid Chibi was trying to make him laugh.“—On your own.”
