Ocelot is less than happy that Snake has a shiny new plaything - this Miller character. Scorned and petulant, he will go to any length to get the attention that he desperately desires. Including purposefully inducing heat stroke with the hope that Snake will catch him when he eventually collapses.

In the haze of this chaos, Levi allows his health to decline for the sake of his duty, the maintaining of his impenetrable persona. Erwin will be forced to decide what is more important to him, the concern he has for Levi or the appearances they are both expected to uphold.

Summary
The 'chorus effect' occurs when many sounds that are roughly the same length and pitch converge, adding a rich, shimmering quality to the layered audio. While such layering can be naturally occurring, such as within a choir, the effect can be artificially simulated with certain tools. The effect is more apparent with sustained notes.

TPP canon divergence AU... Ocelot getting taken by the Skulls instead of Kaz is only the beginning. Follows some canon events very, very loosely, with many, many changes. For fun.

Ocelot could’ve called a taxi, could’ve stayed the night here and regrouped in the morning– the mission was ruined now anyway, so it didn’t matter if it took him a little bit to get back to his apartment. But he knew a guy who lived close by (ish) who had a truck. And maybe that person happened to be the same one he’d been pining after for almost a year, who he hadn’t seen since April and had sworn up and down that he was really, truly, over with this time, but that was just kismet.
(a sequel to it's all in my head, but i want non-fiction where we get some wires uncrossed)
