The horse that might not be an actual horse cranes its neck all the way around to - seemingly - stare at Merlin. It’d be quite funny to watch, actually, if it wasn’t for the clear, conscious contact of its milky eyes. Or Arthur’s hand being stuck to it. Or its voice.

“I know It’s going to snow, Merlin, you don’t need to keep going on about it.”
“Not that. Just letting you know you can’t have the car on Saturday, even if we aren’t snowed in. It’s already spoken for.”
“Is that so? Have big plans, do you?”
The kettle started to whistle just as Merlin called back, and all Arthur heard was, “Valentine’s date.”
He went cold all over, so much worse than when he'd been outside.
Arthur is in love with Merlin, his best friend and roommate, and is considering finally telling him, Merlin has a Valentine's Day date, and a surprise snow storm is coming that might mess up everyone's plans.
