    Merlin wasn't entirely certain that staying with the Order of the Phoenix—the majority of whom didn't know him—was his best idea ever, but it definitely beat being out of touch with the rest of the magical world for the summer. A little push here and a little nudge there, and he'd managed to get Sirius to invite him, Arthur, and Draco to stay with the rest of the Order.

    Or, Merlin was quite honestly exhausted from dealing with the so-called Dark Lord, but he still had to pace himself lest he throw the entire magical world out of balance. Even so, he was struggling with not showing up this pink lady from the Ministry of Magic. Was this seriously who the ministry deemed an acceptable teacher? She wasn't even teaching the students at all!

    So really, he thought, a simple trip to the wizarding world for tea couldn’t possibly be that bad.

    He was wrong.

    Now he’s somehow become the unofficial emotional support adult of Hogwarts, is being hunted by the house-elves because he keeps fixing castle structural problems himself, dealing with a basilisk situation that Merlin is “pretty sure he dealt with once already, back in the 5th century.” and trying to stop Gilderoy Lockhart from deciding that he is his "professional rival."

    Merlin regrets stepping outside...

    Summary

    Eggman had a file on his computer. A file he found himself semi-regularly editing and adding documents to. Each one was dated and filed away, comprised of observations, musings and often transcribed audio files of Eggman's notes on a certain blue pain in the ass. Why he started it, he never really knew. At first it was a way to keep track of the annoyance, the things he could do. But along the line it devolved into more personal details, behaviours and patterns. Eggman wanted so desperately to understand his nemesis. And sometimes, he really thought he'd come close. And then the hedgehog turned around and did something that threw off Eggman's whole view, made him rethink everything.

    That file was named simply: Sonic.

    A series of short stories and oneshots centred around Eggman's observations of mostly Sonic (but occasionally some of his companions too).
