“Robin,” he growled, dropping down behind the girl – his Replacement’s replacement, apparently. “What are you doing on my turf?”
She came up swinging with a brick of all things, but stopped once she caught sight of the helmet. “Red Hood,” she chirped, sounding happy to see him? “I didn’t realise you were doing this section tonight, sorry – where’s going to be good so I stay out of your road?”
“... What?”

Summary
Right now, Damian is not Robin, and father is not Batman. They're dressed in black suits with gel in their hair and wearing ridiculously colourful ties that Grayson had picked out for them.
Damian is dying, there's no question about it. But as father leans down to place a hand across his pulse, counting the slowly depleting thumps of a heartbeat, his expression horrified, Damian realises he needs to tell his father that Jason Todd is alive. He must.
He absolutely can not die letting Bruce Wayne think he has lost two sons.
(Damian joins the family early, and harbours a secret he almost carries with him to the grave.)
