Summary
Hyun had wanted to cry when he first met Haru.
Though he was as-yet unpresented, and a little older than most at that stage, it was pretty clear Haru would eventually present as an omega. Which made three. Three beautiful omegas in his new group that he wanted but could never have. And god, did he want them.
But it didn't matter. All three of them would eventually find some handsome alphas to fall head over heels with. Alphas who could take care of them the way they deserve, scenting their mating bites and quenching their heats with a knot. And Hyun would be left behind. And that would have to be okay.
Though he knew that day was coming, Hyun hadn't been prepared.

“Join Jisung and I tonight,” Seungmin murmurs, in an uncharacteristically soft tone, as if he were cradling Minho close to his chest as he does Felix or Jisung, speaking to him as if he were someone precious and not just the king’s burden to bear. It hurts when Minho knows it’s just his imagination. “We can talk more then.”
“Are you sure?” Minho asks, clenching his fist behind his back tight enough to feel his nails dig into his palm.
Seungmin clenches and unclenches his fists at his sides. “Why wouldn't I be?”
I am your cross to bear. I am a nail in your coffin. I am the thorn in your side. I am. I am. I am.
“Nevermind,” Minho shakes his head and turns to Seungmin, bowing once more. He thinks his nails have broken skin. “See you tonight, then.”

“That’ll be $3.75.” Changbin says.
Jisung bats his eyelashes, shrugs his shoulders. “I didn’t bring any money.”
“Shut up,” Changbin shakes his head, “I know you did. I gave you like forty bucks three days ago.”
“Daddy’s gotta eat.” He comically rubs his stomach, grinning like a little idiot.
“Shut up.” Changbin says again, though fondness is bleeding into it.
