Summary
The first time Sakusa met the Miya twins, he noticed the silver purity ring wrapped tightly around one of their fingers. It looked small, dainty, and almost out of place in a rough-housing gym full of teenage boys.
One of them flushed a pretty cotton candy pink when he noticed Sakusa looking at him and the ring. His fluffy blond hair was a tangled mess from sweat, and the constant push of fingers swiping it from his face.
"You're staring." Komori elbowed him as Sakusa's eyes continued to track the blond and his innocuous silver ring.
Something tightened in his gut that day and he suddenly felt starved for something he had never wanted before.

"That would make me cry even harder." Kiyoomi grabbed Atsumu's face, cupping his cheeks with his cold hands and letting their foreheads brush together. "Miya Atsumu, you aren't allowed to die. I command it."
Both of them knew Kiyoomi was no longer a Prince, Atsumu no longer his Knight, and he wasn't in a position to command anyone to do anything, but Atsumu smiled at him anyway and nodded his head.
"Alright." Atsumu laid a chaste kiss against Kiyoomi's lips, "I'll promise to keep living then. Since my omega has demanded it of me."
Miya Atsumu was a liar.

Atsumu took in a deep breath, steeling himself for what was about to be a terrible conversation. He opened the door, meeting eyes with his furious brother.
“Ya son of a bitch, I knew-“ Osamu cut himself off when he noticed the bruise on Atsumu’s cheek. His eyes trailed down, stopping at the finger-shaped bruises around his neck.
“‘Samu, you really shouldn’t be here,” Atsumu said quietly, all his loud confidence gone as he shifted uncomfortably under Osamu’s gaze.
“He’s fuckin’ hittin’ ya?” Osamu’s voice was lower now, but his angry tone made Atsumu shrink away from him. “That why ya been avoidin’ me?”

Summary
After undergoing minor surgery to recover from a broken leg, Aran finds himself back on Kita's farm, since he can't go home alone. This would by idyllic, if it weren't for the fact that Kita had broken up with him fifteen years earlier and Aran had never really gotten over that.
The summer is slow, and long, and Aran slowly recovers from his injury, which the doctors assure him will not be the end of his volleyball career, wondering if maybe there are other reasons to end a career apart from getting injured.
