“Will!!”
Joyce’s scream cuts through the desolate air of Dimension X. She drops to her knees, eyes fixed on Will, who’s on all fours, head hanging, chest heaving. His hands sink into the ash as his body begins to shake, sharp and uncontrollable.
Mike darts forward. “Will?! Will!! Are you okay?!”
The others follow, fear written across their faces. Robin kneels before him, reaching out. Her voice just above a whisper.
“Will?”
Slowly, he lifts his head. Green eyes are gone—replaced by milky white orbs staring into Robin’s blue ones.
Gasps ripple through the group. This isn’t Will. The gentleness is gone. The warmth Will carried has now shifted with a cold murderous look. As if the light was drained out of him. A smirk curls across his lips.
His voice is low, chilling, yet almost tender:
“I told you… every door you leave open, I walk through.”Vecna has found his way back home.
Will was never the target. He was the way in.

Summary
In retrospect, Will should have realized much earlier that something was definitely going wrong inside him.
He chose to ignore it, and now the breaking point arrives with more force than he ever anticipated — a lie, really. Will never anticipated anything, his head buried in small moments of normalcy and hope, replayed like a scratched cassette, while the reality he once knew was being bombarded by supernatural forces named after Dungeons & Dragons characters.
If he wanted to, he still couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment when the precipice of bad decisions pushed him into the fall, plunging him into a void eerily similar to Hawkins’ infamous quarry. Maybe it was the day Robin called them in after The Crawl went wrong, or maybe it goes back to the day Henry marked him as his first long-term victim.
Whatever the case, he finds himself in the same position where he began. His hands figuratively bound behind his back as he watches his fate shift irreversibly before his eyes.

Summary
Their shoulders brushed again, slow and equally savored. The kind of movement you couldn't pretend was an accident.
So Will brushed back, just barely. Testing. Flirting. Mike inhaled softly, the faintest noise escaping him. And then he spoke like he was physically unable to stay silent any longer.
“Will? If… if that boy you like…” he was standing so close that Will could feel the warmth of him against the cold air. “…If you ever wanted to tell him…”
Will felt his breath stop.
“…I think he’d want to know.”
OR: Yet another buzzy post vol 1 fic where Will grows more confident, Mike short-circuits over it, and they save the world together !!
