He can’t see much, just the bull’s head and shoulders over the fence but Shang Qinghua can tell that he is tall. He gulps as he gets closer, realizing how much larger the hybrid is and starting to feel a little nervous. The bull is handsome, sleek dark hair spilling well past his shoulders. Bright blue eyes regard him carefully, black ears trained on him. The pair of horns seem even sharper up close and Shang Qinghua feels a little too warm under the penetrating gaze.

Shang Qinghua doesn’t look up from his papers at first. “Okay, sure,” he says, absently—how much money are they spending on incense again? Absolutely fucking absurd—and glances up when Shen Qingqiu remains silent. “What is it?”
Shen Qingqiu folds the fan and taps it nervously against his palm. “Mobei-jun’s getting married,” he says.
