Summary
Harry was trafficked and brought to the whore house when he was only 14. He was scared, and he didn't know how to please the scary men and women who would punish him if he failed to do his job. The longer he spent there, the more Harry felt a need to be kind to all the other whores in the whore house. He wanted to help people and treat them all with kindness.

The problem is, Harry knows he has issues. That's kinda what happens when you have an abusive father for most of your childhood.
Since he was 12 the only people he's spoken vocally to are his mama, Gemma, Zayn and Niall. Niall took a bit longer because Harry hadn't known him as long, but in all those years he'd still never managed to fully regain his speech.
Harry had selective mutism, which by definition is a severe anxiety disorder where a person is unable to speak in certain social situations, and in Harry's case those certain situations is everyone other than afore mentioned people.

Louis had a bad feeling, and he wasn't spiritual or anything, but after living with Harry for the past three years he'd kind of started to believe some of that hippy shit.
And that hippy shit said that if something didn't feel right, it probably wasn't, and that was why Louis found himself at 10am on a Monday morning sprinting across campus back to his dorm one hour into his lecture. Because he had a feeling that something was wrong with Harry, and when it came to the curly boy, there was no taking any chances, because Louis doesn't know how he'd cope if he lost Harry.
