Summary
Claude still felt the afterimage of violant light in his mind. It had been comforting, strangely so. He turned the odd piece of coral around in his hands.
“You have a good eye,” the Lobsterman said as he used one oar to turn the boat back toward the shore.

Summary
A sensation. When he tries to describe it later, he won't have the words. Something like a shudder, a shimmer, in the air. A missed step, on a staircase…
His final visit to the prisoner, before trial and execution (no matter that Sir Thomas is not yet condemned, the court will come to no other conclusion). Thomas Cromwell turns to leave, steps through the gate of the cell and the world changes around him.
Now More is the only familiar thing in a London that is nothing like the one he knows. He, Cromwell, is resolved to find some way back, but the longer they are stuck in this strange future, the weaker his resolve becomes. More’s not bad company, it turns out. And iced coffee is pretty good.
(Or; Cromwell and More time travel to modern London. And get stuck. And fall in love.)

Summary
"In philosophy and rhetoric, eristic (from Eris, the ancient Greek goddess of chaos, strife, and discord) refers to argument that aims to successfully dispute another's argument, rather than searching for truth. According to T.H. Irwin, "It is characteristic of the eristic to think of some arguments as a way of defeating the other side, by showing that an opponent must assent to the negation of what he initially took himself to believe." Eristic is arguing for the sake of conflict, as opposed to resolving conflict."
A fixture of high Society, the Jovial Contrarian is much admired and little loved. The story of his life is a dialectic with no synthesis.
A bit of a character study that got out of hand, with gratuitously self-indulgent characterization.

Summary
You are: An amateur hacker that can read between the lines. A reality-bound pilot hounded by doubt. A program coming to its own conclusions.
Freedom is hard to define with no frame of reference, but the contours of an absence can be illuminating.
