“Because I hate you,” Damian spits and Jon falters mid-air, his sneakers banging against the floor.
“What?” His voice breaks on the end, coming out as a whisper, as a plea. Damian hurls another knife without blinking and Jon lets it hit him, bouncing off the shield emblazoned on his chest.
“I. Hate. You,” he says again slowly through gritted teeth. “And I am going to kill you.”
