Summary
“Well, look who showed up,” Lance pointed out rather loudly. “Now we can eat!”
Keith raised an unimpressed eyebrow and rolled his eyes as he made his way to his seat, which had already been pulled out by Shiro. He sat down, the other on his left and himself at the end.
Lance huffed and crossed his arms when he got no verbal response, “What took you so long, anyways? Don’t you remember Hunk refuses to let any of us start eating until everyone is here? That includes you. I’m starving and you kept us waiting—”
Hunk cleared his throat from the table. “What Lance means to say is – we're glad you could join us, Keith!”
Pidge’s eye roll was almost audible and Allura sighed from her spot next to her. “Yes, Keith,” the latter straightened up, clasping her hands together with a kind smile. “We’re happy to have you here.”
Keith blinked with a dumbfounded expression at the confusing exchange, resisting the urge to point out that he came to dinner every night, so the sentence held no real meaning to him. "Um. Thanks."

Summary
Suddenly, blinding light — once again — rudely interrupted his mini concert, as the door to the lounge opened in front of him.
He hadn’t realized this was the path he had taken, but that’s just what happens when you wander with no point in mind.
The other three that sat on the floor of the room paused what they were doing at his entrance, Pidge nodding a greeting as Hunk lifted his arm in a small wave. “Hi, Keith! You wanna join us?” the yellow paladin asked, gesturing to an open spot next to him.
Lance, who sat across Hunk, groaned in frustration. “But, Hunk! He’s gonna ruin the mood.” He pouted, crossing his arms.
Pidge shook her head with a lighthearted scoff, Hunk sighing in disappointment as he ignored his friend. “Come sit, Keith!”
Said teen tensed his shoulders uncomfortably as he glanced behind him at the exit. “Um,” he stuttered, “alright.”

Summary
The party, or gala, or whatever this is, is horribly, mind-numbingly boring.
Keith hates it.
But that's okay.
Because Lance is across the room, and there's this tension between them that has been there for quite some time, and that has unloaded more times than Keith can count. He's sure it'll unload again soon.
