Summary
Just as his mind began to drift into nothingness, he was startled by a sound at his window. His eyes flew open and for a moment comprehended nothing, until they finally adjusted to the darkness and he registered a figure perched on his roof. He yelped, scrambling into a sitting position for the first time that day.
“Can I come in?” said a muffled voice. Gus blinked. It was Matt. Because of course it was Matt, and why the hell was it Matt? Though puzzled, he leaned towards his window and pulled the latch.

Yeah, I may be reading all these gustho fics embarrassingly late.
But this one....
This is exactly how I imagine Gus's inner mind and struggles. And this is the first time I've seen someone do that interpretation right.
