Summary
“I know he’s guilty. He said so himself.” Furina peered over the stands. She gripped the bannister so hard she feared she might lose the feeling in her arms and fall to her death. “But... He shouldn’t… be sent to the Fortress of Meropide. It’s no place for a child.”

Summary
“Pass him here, please,” Says Ganyu, who looked like it pains her to offer.
Zhongli, to his credit, looks like he deliberates it for a moment. “No,” he says, as Ganyu wholly expects him too.
“You…” She struggles. “Civilian, Zhongli, you must hand Barbatos to me."
Zhongli glances at her again, then back to the sea. “...No,” He says again, with more thought behind it.Durin rises from the dead, and so, of course, it is Venti's problem. (And then when he decides to take a little nap about it, it becomes Zhongli's problem.) (Which then, of course, makes it everyone else's problem.)

Summary
Zanka smiles— lax, warm, appreciative in a quiet way that Rudo wants to mimic so bad. The corner of his lips twitch.
Whenever Rudo smiles, it is not effortless. It does not come natural, not the way Zanka's smiles seem to be. Maybe with time, with effort, they will be.
// Rudo thinking about the smiles of his friends, putting more attention to Zanka's.

Summary
In another life, Zanka Nijiku was dragged out from the well on his ear by his sister, hissed at to shape up, not be an embarrassment, fall back into line, pick a real weapon. He and Hyo were from two different worlds. Zanka had the educational background. The pedigree. Hyo was a quality tool fished from the junk heap by pure coincidence. Five years, she sneered, this would barely be a blip on his radar.
Two years passed. A certain member of the Hell Guard, having gained remarkable insight into the art of human harm, broke rank, and, after finding new management, a lot of people’s bones.
In another life, Jabber Wonger bore witness to an angel and followed its scent to the Headquarters of those who hunted the Trash Beasts. While tangling with the Trash Beasts like a kitten with yarn, making passive observation of the polluted zones, and getting blood drawn regularly for his frankly horrifying varieties of antibodies, Jabber watched Tamsy Caines, and waited.

Bookmarker's Notes
« Many missed a vital difference between Jabber Wonger and steel traps: the steel trap couldn’t get up and start chasing them. This made Jabber a little worse to step into. » lmaooooo
so sooo good and fun, love it

Summary
Jabber looks at Assistaff with this easy gaze, like she's really just a girl in the room. Addresses her. Talks around Zanka instead of to him because he knows exactly how that gets under Zanka's skin.
“Hey shawty,” he leans his weight on her, a little, “you seen what ya boy doin’? You lettin' him get all sloppy on me? Naughty girl.”
Oh, fuck. Zanka hates that more than direct insults. Because, oh, because-
It implies a triangle. Another witness to their debauchery.
“Yer fuckin' crazy.”
