Summary
The thoughts of Sālāh ad-Dīn on the Crusader territories have always been on the same line of "I came, I saw and I conquered". For a very short period of his long and fascinating life, however, for a handful of years, there was also something else. A
hesitation before the conquest. Almost waiting between one battle and another, between one truce and another.
And a name, Baldwin.In other words, just little moments taken from Sālāh ad-Dīn and Baldwin's battles over the years, from Sālāh ad-Dīn's point of view.
This fanfiction is based almost exclusively on the historical events and only a tiny part is taken from the movie "Kingdom of Heaven".
It is also extremely fictionalized and the events narrated, although real, are modified by imagining them from the point of view of
the great sultan.
And it is not a slash fiction!! -

And yes, there will be dramas, of course. And Mclennon too because you cannot deny what they had, whatever is was.

It was the wine.
That was the first thought that flew into her head; one that Dana eagerly grabbed for. It wasn’t that her heart had been absolutely obliterated in her chest by the yearning in the hacker’s voice; no, no way. That would be an emotional reaction, and she was a woman that lived her life by the scientific method. So she would damn sure use that $12 bottle of merlot like it was a magical explanation for everything.
“Well let’s change that, Ringo.”
Langly gasped, stunned silent not just from her words but from the fact that her hand now covered his.
“Dance with me.” Scully tugged on his hand, forcing him a few steps back with her to the empty space in the center of the room. In his confusion, he stumbled on her throw rug like a newborn giraffe. Even the radio agreed with her, as the music shifted to the Dave Matthew’s Band’s overplayed hit, Satellite.
Or, Scully's computer is infected with a virus. Langly comes rushing over to help. And as the night stretches on, two guarded people allow themselves a little bit of vulnerability.
