The second he'd been told she was found, he wasn't sure he'd even driven more recklessly. He'd gone pedal to the metal, probably running several red lights, until he got there. Dick ran through the halls, nausea bubbling and threatening to burst through him. He threw the door open, breathing heavily. The Batcave medbay was quiet, secluded. There, in the bed, was Elowyn, her dark hair spilling over the pillow. Alfred stood, dressing an injury on her head. Jason sat by the bed, holding her hand, even though her eyes were closed. Was she awake?
God, he hoped she wasn't.

Honestly, Damian couldn't particular remember what had happened. A bang, a small light, and then he guessed someone had punched his shoulder pretty hard. And the concrete. Yeah, he was pretty sure his back was on the concrete. The burning in his shoulder was next- red hot, sun hot, fire hot, all kinds of hot. He was kinda running out of words for how it felt.

Summary
He felt like his side had been beaten black and blue with a crowbar again, and honestly? He wasn't excited to see if it looked that way either. It was sore. It ached horrible. Every time his arm brushed against his side or he stretched even a little, there was this deep ache. Thankfully, he knew nothing was broken- through some miracle. It meant he wouldn't have to awkwardly explain how he'd gotten the injury and thus embarrass himself even more.
