Summary
Caleb was laying, limp like a doll, on Beau’s back. Molly was reluctantly impressed that she’d seemingly carried him all the way back here. Overshadowing that, however, was the concern for their wizard. Caleb looked like he’d narrowly escaped a house-fire. His face was covered in soot and dried tear tracks ran down his ash-stained cheeks. He was pale as a ghost and even in unconsciousness, he seemed to tremble faintly. Molly couldn’t tell if that was from exhaustion, terror or an overuse of magic, though. Maybe even all three.
Or: After the fight with the Volstrucker, everyone is exhausted. Molly helps in any way they can.

Summary
Caleb was frozen in indecision for a moment. He didn’t really know this person and was thus unsure if any help he could offer - if he even could - would be welcome. At the same time though, leaving them like this when he could so plainly read the pain in their face seemed cruel.

Or: After the disaster that was the carnival’s grand performance, the Mighty Nein are detained by local law enforcement. While spending the night in jail, Molly isn’t doing too well and Caleb decides to try his best to help.

He felt in his element here. Surrounded by others, overflowing with joy and passion for live. Festivals were great for exactly this kind of atmosphere. But while usually his eyes would be drawn to the sparkling embers of the fire or the colorful whirlwinds of dresses and scarves, tonight his gaze wandered… elsewhere.
Caleb was resting against the wall of a near building, content to simply watch the festivities unfold. The fire lit up his hair to match the flames and his eyes were glinting with the reflecting lights. He looked, well, Molly’s mind was stuck on breathtaking.
Or: Molly thinks Caleb is gorgeous. Also, there’s dancing.

“Keith? Can I come in?“ Shiro’s voice was gentle, patient.
He wanted to say yes. Open the door and let himself be comforted. Maybe Shiro would even hug him.
At the same time though, the thought of letting anyone see him in this state filled him with absolute and utter dread.
Or: Shiro’s first priority has always been making sure Keith is okay. This is no different.

My Allen let them wrap his ribs, but he wouldn’t answer any questions, and then he pitched a fit when they tried to put him in a room where Kanda wasn’t. Lenalee pitched a similar fit when they tried to tell her she wasn’t allowed to stay in the room with the boys. Bookman paced in and out, tried to read, went for walks, and basically was such a mess I thought about knocking him out to spare me having to watch him.
This was a DELIGHT!! Outsider’s pov on these four damaged kids, but like, deeply analytical 🙏

Summary
Set during the early stages of Orym's recovery in 'A Leg to Stand On'. You should probably read at least to Chapter 5 of that one to understand what's going on in this one.
Bell's Hells was successful on their mission to Ruidus, but barely made it back to Exandria alive. With Orym severely injured in the wake of their mission, the Hells spend some time in Zephrah to rest and recover. Ashton visits the library, and receives a rather odd book recommendation from Orym's nosy neighbour.

A deep melancholy crosses Orym’s face for a moment, but then he seems to shake it off. Or maybe he just shivers. Ashton pulls an extra blanket off the foot of Orym’s bed and tucks it carefully around him. The grateful smile they receive in return warms them to their core.
There are so many more passages in this that made me melt and squeal in delight at how much everyone - ESPECIALLY Ashton - cares for Orym; this was comfort to the MAX!!
