Summary
I planted my feet and skidded to a stop an inch from its immobile face, eye to mechanical eye, my aimed energy weapons bracketing its head. This close I could see the blades of its false irises rotating, adjusting to my sudden proximity, the only movement it was making.
What the fuck was I supposed to do now?
And then it pinged me.
It's Murderbot's worst nightmare: a Combat SecUnit on Preservation Station. The unexpected arrival brings trouble, but not in the way Murderbot imagined.

Still on Inventory (standalone fics) by DoomNightAt12, Kitsunebaba, molecular_machine
Fandom The Murderbot Diaries - Martha Wells
17 Oct 2025
Summary
A series of unrelated fics in which a SecUnit (usually Murderbot) is on company inventory and dealing with its governor module, or hiding its hack of its governor module.
The fics are arranged semi-chronologically relative to Murderbot's timeline, but they can be read independently and in any order. All are a balance of angst with hope, except for everything, this, me especially which is more of a mix of fluff, angst and humor.
Stories by molecular_machine, with art and podfic by DoomNightAt12 and Kitsunebaba in The Junkyard Society of Discarded Robots.

Fandom The Murderbot Diaries - Martha Wells
04 Sep 2025
Summary
A collection of unrelated post-canon short stories about ART and Murderbot sticking together during difficult times. All are sad, none are hopeless. Arranged in order from least to most sad (individual results may vary), with only the first fic being pretty gentle. Their relationship is portrayed as somewhere on the friendship/ partnership/ queerplatonic type spectrums.

Summary
Short works set in FlipSpring's NULLverse: The Bot-Construct Disaster Squad canon divergence series. Tone and content varies, so check individual tags and warnings. Context is provided in each fic, if you want to read these as standalones, although reading NULLverse is recommended because it is awesome. The fics in this series are all "NULLverse canon compliant" bonus scenes that are arranged in order of the corresponding inspired-by work.

Summary
What happens when a Combat SecUnit and a handler run away? How do constructs become so human that they can fool even other constructs? Who is Pin-Lee, really, and where did she come from?
The answers to all of these questions are related, somehow.

Summary
ART paused the media I was watching.
"Why'd you do that?" I demanded, letting my frustration fill the response even if it couldn’t really feel it from where I was on the station. At least not nearly as strongly as it could had I been aboard it. I was purposely watching that without you.
"Your stats were dropping, and you did not respond to my pings."
