Summary
It's 1976. Franco has been dead for a year and Spain is beginning to emerge into democratic transition.
Romano comes to help Spain with the annual grape harvest at his sprawling estate in Galicia - the first time he has set foot in Spain since the end of the First World War.
He tells himself it's to escape the turmoil Italy has plunged into since the end of their miracle economy years, but the reality is because he's recently found himself incapable of going more than a week without thinking of his former caretaker and the way things were left since their final meeting at a UN conference almost half a decade ago.

America dwarfed him in almost every way now, but every now and then a crack would form or the mask would slip, and part of that aspect of England that he kept locked away behind his gentleman’s facade started seeping out.
England let his hand slip from the back of America’s chair and trailed it through his hair, tilting America’s head back just shy of uncomfortable. Then he dipped down to kiss him, lips hot and searching as they slanted against America’s mouth."
America travels to England's Cornish estate for a weekend visit.

Summary
Alfred tanned unevenly.
His stomach and chest were a pale white, his arms and legs an attractive brown, like patchwork.
Arthur supposed it's not surprising, for one, not a lot of people have time for sunbathing these days, and two, Alfred wore the same rolled up sleeves and shorts any chance he could.
Though right now Alfred wasn't wearing his stupid uniform, instead of being outside with his troops, he was sitting on an unsanitary table, shirtless, blood pouring from the large slash in his arm.
OR
Arthur stitches Alfred up and they act rather domestic about it.
