   As much as Patrick misses David, he’s glad it’s not him because he’s reprimanded him enough for texting and driving, but he’s confused that it’s Ted. Though he and Ted are friendly, sometimes even going to each other’s places to watch a game, they’re by no means confidants. And 'You got a minute?' sounds like it precedes something more serious than 'Come over for a beer and some hockey.'
