Summary
Long ago, when voyagers from a distant and dying planet came to find new life on Haixing, they brought with them a mated pair of two auspicious creatures from their home planet. These symbolic guardian spirits bore a resemblance to the species that would come to be modern Haixing’s foxes. Like the travelers themselves, the alien foxes’ very DNA was shaped and transformed by the long space flight. They showed no obvious mutation like the travelers that would become dark energy-wielding Dixingren and transformation-capable Yashou, however. Their time for transformation would come.
