Summary
Lupe knows that Jess prefers physicality over words, but there are some instances when she really does not want to talk, like it might actually pain her to do so. It’s most often after they lose a game, like they have now, and there’s a certain tenseness that she can sense radiating from Jess when they’re next to each other in the locker room. She’ll immediately pull the top half of her uniform down, and instead of bumping her shoulders against Lupe’s or patting her on the back, she almost seems to retreat into herself. Sometimes her arms will cross against her chest, then she’ll dig her nails into her forearms. Lupe’s not really sure what to do when this happens, but she just stays with her when it does, until it passes a bit.
Or: When the Peaches lose game two in the championships, Lupe notices that Jess isn’t feeling good.

It doesn’t help that Trixie is an absolute doll with a figure to die for and a voice that Katya can feel directly between her legs.
It’s fine. She is 48 years old, and she doesn’t need Trixie Mattel’s validation. It’s fine.
Trixie Mattel is the most feared food critic in the country, and Katya will defend her from anybody implying she's a bitch. Except that Trixie actually is a bit of a bitch, and Katya loves it.
