Summary
It’s odd, fWhip thinks, to be in a place that looks so normal. There’s a small cave entrance on the side of the mountain, and they start walking toward it. fWhip’s hand moves to the hilt of his sword – the sword that came from the forge. What if it caused irreparable damage, too?
“fWhip? Are you okay?”
“Yeah. Yeah, I’m okay.” Oh. Right – the sword. He loosens his grip on the hilt and lifts his hand, leaving it hovering in the air in front of him.

“Oh – right. I grew up in the Aether – which is kind of funny, since it’s always day there, too. Nighttime still freaks me out a bit, if I’m being honest. And the switch to day-night cycles is really tough, especially if you’re a kid.
“How old were you?”
“Maybe eight? I can’t really remember. I moved in with fWhip pretty soon after, though, so maybe he’d remember.”
