The wealthy, genius, morally-bankrupt Doctor Valentine has been missing for two months.
His seething narcissism lent him more enemies than acquaintances; only one person knew him on any level resembling 'personal', or witnessed his late-night harangues about the dangerous people and forces he liked to work with. Nobody entertained his fascination with the occult, and nobody would be foolish enough to follow suspicious leads to unsafe places in hopes of finding him.
