“Oh, look at me, I'm Nancy Wheeler,” he says, yanking the cardigan from the chair and draping it over his shoulders, letting the empty sleeves dangle by his sides. “I'm pretty and polite and smart. I study for fun. I've never had to redo a report in my life. I'm gonna pass high school with flying colors and maybe even go to college, and then I'll throw it all away to become a perfect little housewife and raise some airheaded jock’s brats.”
Jeff snorts a laugh. “Oh my God, you do look a bit like her. You should keep that thing, maybe you'll get Harrington fooled.”
Frank raises his book again, doing his best impression of a guy who just wandered in by accident and has never seen these lunatics in his life.
“Maybe on a moonless, cloudy night,” he says. “If we get him drugged and concussed first.”

Summary
Steve has his back to the door, so he doesn’t actually see it open. He also doesn’t need to, because the crack of it bouncing against the tiled wall is probably loud enough to be heard outside the building. Tommy stops talking, grin freezing on his face. His eyes go huge.
“Greetings, gentlemen,” says a voice. “Hope I’m not disturbing anything?”
Silence drops. Nobody laughs. Instead, the entire room stares at the newcomer with expressions matching Tommy’s - wide-eyed, open-mouthed surprise.
“Jesus,” someone whispers. Steve turns.
“Munson is fine,” says Eddie Munson. He’s leaning in the open door, tall and unashamed, thin rivulets of water running from his wet hair and down his neck and shoulders. His grin is large and wolfish, and a little bit unhinged.
He’s not wearing the cheerleading uniform.
He's not wearing anything at all.
