Summary
It really can't be anything other than ironic when the poison becomes the medicine, but even prescriptions got schedules and oopsies thereof, so housecall phlebotomy can't be that out of the ordinary. Certainly can't hurt for someone lacking half a high school education to pick up on skills befitting that of medical students without any of the debt weighing down their shoulders. Even if he's lacking textbooks too, knowledge is still knowing. It's why Tomura's grown to trust all he does and the methods he chooses. But he probably trusted him already 'cause he knew Dabi wouldn't dare damage something Tomura holds close enough to share a closet with.
That's someone, the itty-bitty bossman on his shoulder huffs. But Dabi's been getting better with that lately too-- not even because of Tomura. Sometimes you just gotta make peace with what you're always poking into just to stay alive. Sometimes you gotta let the thing that's got you living in the first place be recognized as something worth living in.

Summary
Summer leaving its wet and disconcerted footsteps smudged along the windowpane should probably feel relieving, but Dabi knows better than to believe that as grace by now. He can hate that heat all he wants but the opposite isn't any greener, not at all, and it's not like his body knows the difference. He wishes there was a something in a baggie to dim that too, something other than what calmly pats the trembling head of his central nervous system, but even that has run dry.

Summary
That part isn't the surprising one, but the comedown is, 'cause, y'see, everything's easier to feel when the world tilts sideways. Feeling sleepy while Tomura runs his thumb mindlessly over the side of Dabi's hand and tasting it stronger only half conscious, that's nice. Rubbing his face up in Tomura's freshly dried and conditioned hair when his words want some rest, that's nice. And yet it is fickle humanity that whispers the reminder.

Under a moonlit and indigo-black sky, the sea shines violently as if cut from obsidian rather than foam, and it soaks up the sides of the house until Tenko's certain his window will burst open and embed glass far deeper into his face than his own stubby fingernails have ever been able to. He doesn't shrink back at the thought. Just inches from the outside world, he stands still.

But Tomura is gracious, magnanimous, he is generous and sublime so he grabs Dabi's chin again and presses his closed lips to Dabi's own. They slot together easily because they've done it a million and six times. It still feels just as new as the first. But maybe with a bit more experience now.

Sure, regular people got their problems too; upstanding civilians too naïve to recognize the sun outside the window's the reflection of their lamp; street rats holed up between dumpsters to get some semblance of safety while dozing off for as long as is possible; regular ole high school students in regular ole high schools making plans for karaoke on Sunday; everybody's got their worms on their belt chains. It's just one of those mischievous little 'life' things, when stuff sucks sometimes. When everyone curses it out like it isn't justified.
