Summary
she looked as though she was preparing for battle if for only one moment, before she gave a resigned sigh and then turned to face him, raising one brow at Theo before taking the lid off, she stated, "well I do believe that if I am to wear this in a week's time, it might be a good idea for me to try it on".
Eloise saw Theos's eyes shine and wet his lips as he moved closer to her, "Might you require help?"
"Well, this gown is a lot more practical, I can take it off myself", Eloise almost laughed as she saw Theo's face drop,…

Summary
"I promise I shan't break your confidence", Francesca spoke eagerly, as she squeezed her sister's hand, Eloise gave her a nod, and made a choice to break her silence, "his name is Theo, we last saw each other at the beginning of the season"…
Francesca broke her promise, but could not bring herself to regret it, as it contributed to bringing about her sisters happiness, it mattered not if to secure it they all needed to master how to play the game of charades outside of their living room…
"We are to go out, you and me will be going to Gunters' to get ourselves a sweet treat" Francesca pulls from Eloise's hands until her sister stands, "I arranged to run into John 'by chance' there"…
"I do not fancy going out really, and 'by chance' you say?" Eloise replies.
"It will do you good, plus, John and I" Francesca fidgets, unsure, she is apologetic, only not really as she says, "I am sorry Eloise, but I told him, I told him of your plight, and he has been the most understanding, we have a plan". -

Summary
"Why did you help them? Why did you keep her secret?" asked the dowager Viscountess trying to comprehend the extent of the complicity within the siblings who seemed to have come to terms with the situation. After a sigh her youngest boy responded "Anthony said that father fought for what was right, not only for his family but for all, and well, so does Theo".

You probably won’t be able to make sense of these works unless you’ve read “Heart of the Reason”, a fantastic theloise fic by imposisbledream; as it is, these three chapters can be summarised as "missing scenes" inspired by said work (posted with permission of the author of the original work).

Summary
Anthony stood by the door, his gaze lost in Eloise and Mr. Sharpe, it not been a full week since he himself ran into Lady Danbury's house screaming for help, calling for a surgeon to attend to Kate. He who had been so dismissive at one point of those men who worked for a living, only to be called out by Benedict on his internalized prejudice, how twisted was fate? That now he was seeing himself reflected in the young man that was on his knees, holding onto Eloise's hand.

Summary
Eloise and Theo relink their frienship right before Theo leaves. For a year, he will be travelling through the UK, mastering his craft. Eloise asks that he writes to her. He obliges.
"Dear Eloise,
I promised I would write, and so I shall; though I confess, I’ve been staring at this blank page for the better part of an hour, trying to decide how to begin. It is one thing to speak to you in person, where your expressions do half the work for me, and quite another to put ink to paper without the benefit of your raised eyebrow or impatient sigh to guide me. (I suppose I shall have to imagine those instead.)
The road is uneventful thus far, though I admit I find myself missing the noise of London.
I hope your family is well and that your brother has not yet driven you to madness with his hovering. And I hope (though I have no right to) that you might think of me every now and then, if only to scoff at whatever clumsy turn of phrase I’ve managed in this letter.
Write back, if you’ve a mind to. I should like to know what you’re reading, what you’re arguing about, whether you’ve scandalized any new poor souls at tea.Your friend,
Theo"Bookmarked by miablack84
