“Did your tutor teach you that?” He asks idly. “Five stars for the delivery. It certainly fell flat, as most formal apologies do.”
His detached attitude grates at Yoo Joonghyuk’s nerves. Yoo Joonghyuk is trying, alright—he’s not good at apologising because he’s never really had to apologise before, but he’s doing his goddamn best to tell Kim Dokja that he’s sorry for being an asshole even though being an asshole is his default setting—
“So you are aware that you’ve been an asshole,” Kim Dokja says, and Yoo Joonghyuk realises he’s just said that all out loud. “I’m glad you’re self-aware. The first step to fixing the problem is recognising you have a problem.”
“God,” Yoo Joonghyuk bites out. “Why are you being so difficult?”

Summary
It’s in the middle of scanning the last bottle of green tea that Itadori properly looks up. Eye contact with him is a physical, unexpected shock, a crunch of imaginary static snapping through Megumi and leaving his hands twitching at his sides.
"Hey." Itadori blinks, wide and earnest. "Do I know you from somewhere?"
The tea sloshes backwards in the bottle he’s holding. Megumi focuses on this until his vision steadies.
"No," he says. "I don’t think so."
In the aftermath, Itadori loses his memories instead of his life. Megumi grieves nonetheless.

“You okay?” Megumi asks, calm as can be. Still, he only squeezes tighter, a slow increase of the pressure, like he’s trying to push Yuuji into giving up. He holds him very still, and so close. “You need to tap out yet?”
Yuuji can’t even try to shake his head. His eyes flutter, then close again. “Tell you when,” he wheezes, and just hopes it’s comprehensible enough. He can’t get himself to let go of Megumi’s arm. His vision is definitely starting to blur. Stupidly, he doesn’t want this to stop.
Megumi asks Yuuji if he can practice chokeholds on him. Yuuji, against his better judgement, agrees... and finds out he enjoys it far more than he thought he would.
