Summary
“It’s over,” murmured Astarion. He looked at the horizon, drawing a short breath as if possessed, and held it. Then watched as the sea laughed and made boats gently rock. Watched as they greeted the border of here and there. His lungs croaked when they released air, and it flung steam away in whirls, and they watched as birds took flight towards the docks.
Cazador is dead. The Szarr Palace is left empty and hollow. Astarion unravels in the aftermath, and all Tav can do is pick up the pieces and hope for the best.
