“I would strongly advise--”
“I’m ready.”
The corners of Penny’s mouth went up, but it would have been a stretch to call the expression a smile. “No, you’re really not."

Summary
He sits down on the floor in front of the three boxes that look to be somewhat water-damaged and tries to remember what they contain. It can't be anything that important since he hasn't needed anything from them throughout all the years he's lived in this house.
He decides to begin with the one that has the most damage to it, one corner of it almost completely withered away by water and mold. It’s a surprise Evan even allowed them in the house.
It doesn’t take a lot to get the box open. He doesn’t even need a knife. The cardboard basically melts away beneath his fingertips.
He looks in and finds himself from thirty years ago staring back at him.

Summary
He doesn’t even need to open his eyes to know that the current situation he’s in is...well, not good.
“Tommy.”
That voice...he knows that beloved voice. He wants to reassure that voice that he’s okay, but he doesn’t think that’s actually true right now.
“Tommy, please open your eyes.”
He really, really wants to, but his chest hurts, his arm feels like it’s detached from his body, and his head is pounding. He’s afraid that if he opens his eyes, that will all get a lot worse.
“Tommy, baby, please just wake up.”
That voice sounds tearful now, no, no, no, no, that’s not going to work. So he listens, his eyes flutter open, and he’s confronted with the face attached to that voice, dirty and worried, but no less beautiful.
Or: Buck and Tommy are trapped in a building collapse. Because of course they are.
