Lilia sighs again, happily, “Beautiful.” Then he giggles and pinches Silver’s cheek, unable to help adding, “Just like a bride on her wedding night.”
Silver gives him a curious look, touching his own face where Lilia had. “What does that mean?” he asks.
Lilia knows, then, that the old demon still living in his chest is awake, and hungry.
