“Oh,” his mom says, a gentle, almost breathy sound. “Okay, darling. Do we know him? Can you tell us his name?”
This should be the perfect moment to go back on his lie and accept the fact that, as long as he doesn’t get a real boyfriend, Chan’s parents won’t believe him when he says he’s bisexual. But his mom looks so understanding, so accepting; this is what he wants now, and not in the future.
“It’s Seungkwan hyung,” Chan stumbles through the syllables, then clears his throat. “Seungkwanie. I’m dating Seungkwan.”
Chan's parents don't believe him when he tells them he's bisexual. Naturally, he lies about dating his best friend Seungkwan to convince them that he is. It just so happens that they have an upcoming beach vacation, and Chan suggests Seungkwan should go with them.

It’s him, Boo Seungkwan, in the picture. Standing beside Lee Chan, who’s in his school uniform while Seungkwan is dressed casually, and behind them, a banner - 2017 Jigu High Graduation Ceremony. Chan’s arm is slung across Seungkwan’s shoulders, his grin wide and bright like the sun. Seungkwan isn’t smiling but he’s not pulling away either. There’s something… soft in his face.
Like he belongs there, beside Lee Chan.
And if the picture is from Lee Chan’s graduation, then Hansol should also be there since they are from the same high school. Seungkwan would have taken a picture with Hansol, his boyfriend, and not Lee Chan. But Hansol isn’t in this picture. It’s just him and Lee Chan.
OR: Volleyball players Boo Seungkwan and Lee Chan don't get along. So when Seungkwan wakes up one day ten years in the future, the last thing he expects is to find out that he’s apparently dating Chan. Now stuck slipping between timelines — one where he’s with his boyfriend Hansol, and another where he’s somehow in love with his biggest rival — Seungkwan has to figure out a lot of things.
