Someone chuckled awkwardly and when no one said anything, Shane threw his arms out to the side just as Harris made his way towards the disaster.

Over the last couple days Ilya had told him more about Svetlana, and he understood that their friendship went far deeper and further back than just the hookups, but every time Ilya brought her up he couldn't help but replay, I could marry Svetlana, in his mind, and his whole body recoiled.
Ilya seemed to notice because he started drawing circles on the back of his hand with his thumb. "Svetlana and me, it's not like that. Not like us. She is very old friend and has always been there for me. But I know we have history, so if you don't want to-"
"No," Shane said before he could think.
"I would love to meet her."
