”Do you know what this means?” She stares at the box of chocolates linking them together, stares at his fingers, then lifts her head to stare at him—hoping, praying he’ll understand.
He peers at her curiously. “…Do you need me to do something weird for you again?”
Lucy finally takes everyone’s advice and attempts to show Natsu how she feels. It’s… not all smooth-sailing, to say the least.

"Natsu!" Lucy cheered from behind him. She stumbled clumsily from the crowd as he whirled around to face her.
Natsu chewed the fire in his mouth, glaring suspiciously at her. He carefully pulled his flaming chicken leg away from her as she came to a stuttering stop in front of him, tugging at his sleeve excitedly. Her breath smelled like alcohol. He should have known he couldn't trust his partner with Cana.
Lucy held up a cheap plastic ring, a flirty smile painted on her face. "Marry me."
Natsu couldn't help but roll his eyes. Swallowing roughly, he said, "Lucy, you never remember."
