“O-Of course it’s not over!” Monokuma sputters. “Just because I can’t execute you all here—that doesn’t mean it’s over! In fact, your stupid promise means that the game is just going to continue!”
“No,” Kaito insists, turning on Monokuma. “Even if the audience lets it happen—even if you refuse to let the game end here—nobody else here is going to kill. Because they know the truth now! And the truth is that you’re full of sh—”
Kaito doesn’t get to the end of the expletive; his voice cracks on that last word, and his eyes suddenly go wide, the only warning before he bursts into painful-sounding, sputtering coughs, spraying neon pink blood all over the front of his shirt. His knees wobble, and he claps his hands over his face, hacking into his palms.
“Momota-kun!” Shuichi cries.

Shuichi catches on and helps Kaito fool the mastermind. In the end, it doesn't change much.
