Summary
Cold, humid wind brushes against his face gently, like being comforted. But there’s nothing comforting about it as the rain hits his face, his hair, his clothes. He stands there unmoving, as he’s stood countless of times before, as he always does.
He’s seen this scene countless of times, more than he can remember. He’s felt the void forming in his stomach and chest as he watches the bloodied figure in front of him. The way it becomes difficult to breathe as if he’s being choked.
Orter’s lived this nightmare so many times. Yet all he can do is stare in horror, as the shape that is usually in front of him is not there, and instead lays Rayne’s mangled, lifeless corpse.

Orter realizes he loves Rayne in the most unorthodox, traumatizing way possible.

Summary
The mission was simple. Sneak past the guards stationed at Belobog's borders. Distract them to get ahold of the 𝘉𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘻𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘐𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 medicine -a genius invention of Natasha's late brother- then head for its creator's laboratory to gather any useful medical supplies.Those would probably fetch a good deal in the Underworld, Sampo thought gleefully.
Except that, not even an hour later, he finds himself cursing his overconfidence as his plan unravels before his eyes.
Alternatively, how Sampo copes with the aftermath of his bad decisions, accidentally uncovers a conspiracy and learns to love, all while giving Gepard gray hair.
