“Here," his mom hands him a tote bag. Mark gives her a puzzled look, his fingers reluctantly grasping the handles. "For Renjun."
Mark takes a peek inside the bag. Bags of chocolates. Body cream. Boxes of tea. Freshly baked maple cookies. Mark feels his heart drop a thousand times the force of gravity. A tear along with it.
Mark's mom always offered him the sweetest smiles during the biggest moments of his life, until one day she didn't.

"You already talked to him last night. Today is supposed to be my turn." Mark crosses his arms as Donghyuck lies in bed on his side, head resting on his hand. "Stop hogging him to yourself," he whines.
"I'm not talking to him now," Donghyuck says with a straight face as his phone rests beside him, the screen clearly showing he's been on a phone call with a certain 애기 for 23 minutes now.
