"i'm back." mark had said softly, stepping into the apartment to find johnny right where he left him, sprawled out on the sofa as he stared mindlessly at the tv. it was like time had paused once mark had left only to resume as soon as he stepped back into the room, like life would never even think of mark missing a moment with johnny - what a shame.
mark blinked as johnny tipped his head back, the same way he had just a few hours prior when mark left, and mark felt his fingers twitch like they did then when those same strands of hair fell over his eyes. he clenched his fist. what a pain.
