“Coming!” he calls out in Spanish, letting the suitcase slam short with a tired huff. He pads over through his thin hallway and tugs the door open, bringing one hand up to run through his hair only for his arm to fall to a heavy thud when he sees Kageyama Tobio on the other side.
“Fuck,” Tooru says, his voice stuttering right over the Spanish back to Japanese, and then completely on instinct, he slams the door shut on Tobio’s face.
Tobio follows Tooru to Buenos Aires after the Tokyo Olympics. Not even nine years can prepare either of them for this.

Predictably, Kuro tastes of the pizza they just ate—but Kenma’s mind doesn’t linger on the flavor for long; it’s too busy cataloguing all the new sensations: the slide of Kuro’s tongue against his, the brush of teeth against his lip, how Kuro’s hips move in time with his mouth. It’s unconscious, Kenma thinks—he doesn’t think Kuro means to be this forward—but it’s distracting, the way Kuro is all lazy movement beneath him, flowing smoothly. He feels like he might drown in it, and he pushes Kuro’s shoulders. Kuro pulls back immediately.
“You’re good at this,” Kenma says, his tone accusatory.
“Is my precious Kenma jealous?”

It's all these chaotic cacophonies and unfamiliar party ambiance that's making Tobio weird, messing up with his mind and emotions, resurfacing feelings that should have been buried down to the deepest abyss of nothingness where no one can see or notice them, not even Tobio.
Because it's a mistake, an aberrant error for Tobio to let Hinata still affect him after all this time.
